Biography
Christian Canestri was born in Rome, Italy, in 1990. He received the B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering (summa cum laude) and M.Sc. in ICT Engineering (summa cum laude) from Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy, in 2012 and 2015, respectively.

In 2014, he carried out his master thesis project on artificial non-reciprocity applied to microwave components in the Antennas & Electromagnetics Research Group at Queen Mary University of London, London, UK.
Since May 2015, he has been an Antenna Engineer in the Design Solutions department at Elettronica Group, Rome, Italy.

He has designed several UWB antennas and antenna arrays for EW applications (RECM, RESM, CECM, CESM, and ELINT), following the entire product lifecycle from the design to the production phase. He has experience in antenna systems, antenna measurement setup (near field and far field), manufacturing processes (CNC and AM), CAD modeling, optimization of antenna placement, and coupling on the platform. His main research interests are in novel solutions for: UWB antennas, phased arrays, antenna miniaturization, antenna integration, conformal antennas, RCS reduction techniques, microwave components, BFNs for arrays, polarizers, and radomes.

He also has a strong theoretical background in radar and communication systems.
